DESCRIPTION:Empowering families since 2015\n\n\n\nNow & Next is a free 8-week online program developed by families to support parents of children with a disability\, developmental delay or developmental concerns. \n\n\n\nThe program is facilitated by parent peer leaders who are trained to support families. Over 8 online sessions\, parents set goals\, explore possibilities and take small practical steps forward while learning alongside other families who share similar experiences.  \n\n\n\nStronger families lead to better outcomes for children. Now & Next supports families to build confidence\, develop practical strategies for their child and navigate the next steps ahead. \n\n\n\n\n\nIn Now & Next\, you will:  \n\n\n\n\nPlan strengths-based goals and take small\, practical steps to achieve them \n\n\n\nConnect with other families\, share information and learn together \n\n\n\nExplore ways to collaborate with people involved in your child’s learning to achieve goals \n\n\n\nSupport your child and family’s wellbeing with practical strategies\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFacilitated by parents like you\nNow & Next is facilitated by parent peer workers. These are parents raising a child with a disability or developmental delay\, who are trained to support families and also bring their knowledge and insights. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nProgram structure\nNow & Next runs for eight weekly sessions. Each session is two hours. \n\n\n\n\nSession 1: Create a vision and explore goals for your child\, family\, and yourself using our unique Pictability™ tool. This session sets a foundation for the future.\n\n\n\nSession 2 and 3: Use our Goal to Action™ coaching tool to set and achieve three goals for you and your child. \n\n\n\nSession 4: Identify your strengths and learn how to use them to accomplish your goals.\n\n\n\nSession 5: Focus on the areas where you can make the greatest impact for your child and family’s life using the Now & Next Mindfulness colouring-in book. \n\n\n\nSession 6: Explore the concept and practices that enhance well-being. Learn how to boost the well-being for your child and family. \n\n\n\nSession 7: Develop skills for partnering with professionals and creating positive relationships\, enhancing your personal agency\, well-being\, and family resilience.\n\n\n\nSession 8: Review your resources and practice applying them in various scenarios for the best outcomes.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nInternationally acclaimed\nLaunched in 2015\, Now & Next is now being delivered in Australia\, New Zealand\, Finland\, Canada\, Singapore\, Croatia and Albania.  \n\n\n\nFrom our surveys\, 97% of families who completed Now & Next say they would recommend the program. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWho is this program for\n\n\n\nParents\, family members and primary carers of children aged 0–12 years who have a disability\, developmental delay\, are neurodivergent or if there are concerns about their development. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhen\n\n\n\nWeekly online sessions; Eight sessions\, 2 hours eachAttendance at all sessions is required.From Sunday 10 May to Sunday 28 June\,12pm–2pm AEST/ NSW\, ACT\, VIC and TAS timePlease adjust for your time zone if needed. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhere\n\n\n\nDelivered online via Zoom. But your wellbeing matters—because when parents thrive\, children thrive too. \n\n\n\nIn this practical and interactive session\, we’ll explore how looking after yourself supports your child’s learning\, behaviour\, and overall development.You’ll be introduced to PERMA\, an evidence-based wellbeing framework from positive psychology\, and take away small\, realistic steps you can use in everyday life. \n\n\n\n‘Let’s talk about…’ sessions are created by families\, for families. DESCRIPTION:Supports and strengthens child-parent relationships \n\n\n\nThe Circle of Security is an evidence-based program that helps build and strengthen child-parent relationships. Research shows that when children have at least one secure relationship with a parent or carer\, they enjoy better health\, stronger relationships\, and greater success in their future education. \n\n\n\nOur online sessions are interactive and designed to create a safe\, supportive space for everyone. DESCRIPTION:Connecting parents with their peers \n\n\n\nMyTime is a FREE peer support program for parents and carers of children with disability\, developmental delay\, concern about their child’s development or cronic medical condition.It’s a regular meeting place where you can unwind\, socialise\, discuss\, get information\, and support and be supported by other parents and family carers. It’s a world away from appointments and therapy. The sessions include singing\, playing percussion instruments\, dancing\, and storytelling—all with a strong focus on interaction and communication. \n\n\n\nStarting in a new group can sometimes be challenging.
