DESCRIPTION:A parent peer worker-led Q&A on making your library more inclusive as part of your Community of Practice \n\n\n\nMeet Libraries as Community Connectors team members Kylie\, Marie and Rob to discuss any questions or concerns about including children with developmental delay and disability in your library programs.  \n\n\n\nKylie and Marie are trained parent peer workers at Plumtree who are raising a child with a disability or developmental delay. They liaise with parents and carers\, develop and facilitate programs\, and collaborate with the team to provide support for families. Rob is a State Library of NSW visiting scholar and library ambassador.  \n\n\n\nThis workshop is a safe space for discussion and sets up a community of practice for library staff across Australia. \n\n\n\n\n\nDuring this interactive session\, we will explore: \n\n\n\n\nDifferent scenarios to enhance inclusion in your library programs \n\n\n\nInformation that families have shared with us in our surveys \n\n\n\nOpportunities for libraries to share information on what they’re doing well \n\n\n\n\nImportant: Please complete the Building inclusion in libraries eLearning modules before attending. \n\n\n\nAll our online sessions are interactive\, so we do not share recordings to protect the privacy and confidentiality of everyone attending. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThese sessions are for\n\n\n\nAll public library staff \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhen\n\n\n\nMonday 1 June 2026;1pm to 2.30pm AEST/ NSW\, ACT\, VIC and TAS timePlease adjust for your own time zone if needed \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhere\n\n\n\nDelivered online via Zoom.
