DESCRIPTION:Foster your child’s emotional development. \n\n\n\nTuning in to KidsTM is an evidence-based program that helps you support your child in developing emotional intelligence. \n\n\n\nYou’ll learn skills in emotion coaching—recognizing\, understanding\, and managing both your and your child’s emotions. When children develop these skills\, they’re better equipped to handle life’s ups and downs. \n\n\n\n\n\nIn this program\, you’ll learn to: \n\n\n\n\nTune in to your child’s emotions and understand their emotional experience. \n\n\n\nCommunicate with your child in ways that build connection. \n\n\n\nUse new strategies to manage tricky moments. \n\n\n\nSupport your child in managing their emotions and handling conflict.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis program is for\n\n\n\nParents\, primary carers and family members of children aged 4-12 years. While Tuning in to Kids is not a disability-specific program\, it will provide families with an opportunity to use the approach to their child’s specific needs. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhen\n\n\n\nWeekly online sessions across seven weeks.Each session is 2 hours\, and attending all sessions is required.From Tuesday 12 May to Tuesday 23 June 2026\, 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm AEDT/ NSW\, ACT\, VIC and TAS timePlease adjust for your own time zone if needed. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhere\n\n\n\nThe event will be delivered online via Zoom. Families from anywhere in Australia are welcome to join.
