Nina feels fortunate to have two qualifications, in Occupational Therapy and Early Childhood Education. She has worked in city, rural and outback communities and is constantly inspired by the diversity of people within and across communities. In addition to working directly with families, Nina worked behind the scenes with resource development, adult education and national child care standards.
Nina delights is in being with children and families – working together through play and daily routines to bring relationship connections and skill development. She believes change happens for children at the intersections of family love, skill and knowledge, with the skills and knowledge of professionals…. A good dose of humour also helps. She has participated in the Plumtree Now and Next program and conference and is excited to be working within an organisation that is involving parents as peer workers.
