Plumtree Nature Play is about getting back to basics and having fun outside.
Come and be supported in learning about the simple, fun & beneficial play that can happen in a natural bush session. Everything your child needs to develop their skills is readily available in the bush.
Each day in the bush is different.
We are often guided to particular activities dependent on the weather.
Learning outcomes could include:
- Fostering your child’s independence as they discover how to engage with the environment and develop essential self-help skills.
- Fostering connections among peers as they engage in group activities and outdoor adventures – allowing for shared experience and opportunities for new friendships.
- Learning and exploring through adventure, guided by the weather and the ever-changing natural surroundings.
Activities might include
- Making mud pies
- Building with natural materials
- Slowing down to investigate & enjoy small wonders
- Climbing rocks, nature art and craft
- Learning about textures

This program is for
Families of children aged 0–8 with disability, developmental delay, or concerns about their development.
We can welcome up to eight children in each group (siblings included).
Siblings who are not NDIS participants are welcome to join at no cost.

When
Thursday 15 January 2026,
10am to 12pm
Parents are required to stay on-site and are warmly encouraged to take part.

by Sunday 4 January 2026
The group may be cancelled if fewer than four children are registered.
If the program is full, you can join our waitlist and we will contact you if a place becomes available.

Cost – Payment and cancellation
Total cost $193 per child (NDIS participant)
Siblings who are not NDIS participants are welcome to attend for free.
Payment is not taken at registration. On the due date, you can pay using:
– NDIS funding
– Private payment
Full payment is required. Missed sessions are non-refundable.
Cancellations follow NDIS price guide regulations.

Where
Wolli Creek Regional Park – Girrahween Picnic Area – Wolli Creek (NSW)
On the land of the Bidjigal people (River Flat Clan) of the Eora Nation.
Families will need to make their own way to the site.

Nature Play is facilitated by qualified professionals registered with AHPRA, offering families informed and trusted support.
Additional info
| Your child’s supervision | Parents are required to supervise and participate with their children for the full session. |
| Lunch/Snacks | Please bring your own picnic lunch or snacks. No nuts. |
| Weather | The group will go ahead in most weather and will only be cancelled in extreme conditions. |
| Dress ready to get messy | Please dress appropriately for the weather; hats and sunscreen if sunny, raincoats and gumboots for rain. |
