  • Experience group time with songs, books and other fun activities
  • Encourage your child’s movement, play and communication development and access tailored guidance from experienced professionals
  • Chat with our team about your child’s development
  • Explore and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Jarvie Park
  • Have fun in a friendly, encouraging and welcoming space!

Playgroup stories: Past and present

At Plumtree, playgroups are for more than play. Families can find connection, confidence and support. These stories show the lasting benefits of joining a supported playgroup. Together, these stories show the lasting impact of being part of a supported playgroup.

Families currently attending Plumtree playgroups share what joining in means for them and their little ones—friendship, community, and a place where children can thrive.

Colin, co-author of Milly’s Mind, looks back on how a supportive playgroup helped his family become stronger and more empowered.

Plumtree is a not-for-profit, community-based organisation that helps families thrive.

Trusted for 40 years, we work alongside children and families in the early years to build confidence, capability and inclusion. Plumtree provides therapy and specialist support for children from birth to 8 years in everyday settings — at home, in the community, online or at our Marrickville centre.

We also offer free playgroups, workshops and programs for all families, along with an inclusive preschool where children of all abilities learn together.

Our work is co-designed with families, including programs like Now & Next and Pictability, and we partner with organisations and government to build more inclusive communities.
