Cathy is an occupational therapist with a long-standing commitment to supporting children and families in the disability sector. She feels privileged to work in their everyday settings and is dedicated to empowering families in ways that build on their strengths and priorities.

Her areas of passion and expertise include parent coaching and support, nature play, emotional regulation, guiding families to develop the independence and play skills of their children, neuro-affirming practice, family-centred and collaborative practice, and following the child’s lead. Cathy has completed training in Functional Capacity Assessments and reports, providing another way for her to support children and their families in this ever-changing system.

Cathy also co-facilitates Plumtree’s Nature Play and works with preschools in the Ready Spaces program, which aims to create sensory-inclusive environments that support children’s regulation, participation and learning.
