Create wonderful opportunities for communication and interaction through fun musical activities.

Children develop important social skills like turn-taking and sharing as they engage in group play and follow an enjoyable routine.

This playgroup offers a relaxed, fun-filled environment where children’s development is supported through music. The sessions include singing, playing percussion instruments, dancing, and storytelling—all with a strong focus on interaction and communication.

Starting in a new group can sometimes be challenging. If your child finds it hard at first to be part of the group, we encourage you to keep attending to give them the chance to settle in.

To get the best learning experience from this program, we encourage parental involvement and interaction during each session.

Benefits of Music Together:

  • Opportunities to connect with other families and share ideas and information, including the value of play and early childhood education.
  • Musical play gives children opportunities to communicate both verbally and non-verbally while exploring and being creative through instruments, dancing, and singing.
  • Children will experience following simple instructions in a relaxed, play-based setting.
  • The sessions follow a set routine each week, helping children feel familiar and confident with what to expect.

Music Together is a program for children aged 3 to 5, including children with disability, developmental delay, neurodivergence, or families who have concerns about their child’s development. We also warmly welcome all children in this age group and are committed to creating an inclusive space where everyone can join in and feel comfortable.

Parents, grandparents, and siblings are also encouraged to join in and participate! We celebrate diversity and invite families from all backgrounds to be part of our community.

Weekly online sessions; 45 minutes each;
From Wednesday, 29 April to Wednesday 17 June 2026,
10am to 10.45am AEST/NSW.
We understand that things come up unexpectedly, but we kindly ask families to commit to the term or let us know if plans change. This way, we can offer the opportunity to other families waiting to join.

Plumtree is a not-for-profit, community-based organisation that helps families thrive.

Trusted for 40 years, we work alongside children and families in the early years to build confidence, capability and inclusion. Plumtree provides therapy and specialist support for children from birth to 8 years in everyday settings — at home, in the community, online or at our Marrickville centre.

We also offer free playgroups, workshops and programs for all families, along with an inclusive preschool where children of all abilities learn together.

Our work is co-designed with families, including programs like Now & Next and Pictability, and we partner with organisations and government to build more inclusive communities.
