Create wonderful opportunities for communication and interaction through fun musical activities.
Children have opportunities to practise social skills such as turn-taking and sharing through group play and a familiar weekly routine. While the activities support communication, social interaction and learning, our priority is that everyone enjoys their time in the group.
Music Together offers a relaxed environment where children and adults enjoy singing, playing percussion instruments, dancing and storytelling together.
Every child settles into a new group differently. Some children join in straight away, while others prefer to watch, stay close to a parent or take a little longer to feel comfortable. That’s completely okay. We encourage families to keep attending and give children time to become familiar with the people, songs and routine. Children are welcome to participate in whatever way feels right for them.
Parents and carers are encouraged to join in alongside their child during each session. Your participation helps your child feel comfortable and ready to explore the activities.
Benefits of Music Together:
- Opportunities to connect with other families and share ideas and information about play and early childhood learning.
- Musical play gives children opportunities to communicate both verbally and non-verbally while exploring instruments, dancing and singing.
- Children experience following simple instructions in a relaxed, play-based setting.
- The sessions follow a familiar routine each week, helping children build confidence and know what to expect.
Who can attend?
Music Together is a program for children aged 3 to 5 years, including children with disability, developmental delay, neurodivergence, or families who would like some extra support for their child.
We also warmly welcome all children in this age group and are committed to creating an inclusive space where everyone can join in and feel comfortable.
Parents, grandparents and siblings are encouraged to participate too. We celebrate diversity and welcome families from all backgrounds.
