Hanen It Takes Two To Talk | Orientation Session

Tuesday 4 August @ 7:30 pm 8:30 pm AEST

This registration is for the orientation session only.
During this session, you’ll learn about the It Takes Two to Talk® program, what participation involves, and whether it is the right fit for your family. Families who would like to continue can commit for the full program afterwards.

To help you decide whether this program is a good fit for your child and family, we’ve included a suitability chart

It Takes Two to Talk® is an evidence-based program that helps parents and carers support their young child’s communication and language development through everyday activities such as playtime, mealtimes and outings. Guided by a Hanen Certified Speech Pathologist, you’ll learn practical strategies to encourage communication and build your confidence to support your child’s learning throughout the day.

The program also provides opportunities to connect with other families and receive personalised support tailored to your child’s strengths and needs.

During the program you will:

  • Identifying your child’s stage and style of communication
  • Identifying what motivates your child to interact with you
  • Encouraging your child to start interactions
  • Following your child’s lead to encourage continued interaction
  • Helping your child take turns and keep interactions going
  • Developing your child’s expression and understanding

It Takes Two To Talk teaches you how to become your child’s most important language teacher.

Our online sessions are interactive and designed to create a safe, supportive space for everyone. Recordings are not shared.
