An evidence-based program for parents/ caregivers who have a recently diagnosed child with neurodivergence, Autism or are waiting for a diagnosis or have a child with any developmental differences

The time after a diagnosis can be challenging for families. You might have many unanswered questions relating to the diagnosis or in general.

  • What does the future look like?
  • What does this mean for my child?
  • What does this mean for my family?
  • What is the NDIS, and how can I best use NDIS best to help my child and look after my family’s quality of life?

Having concerns about your child’s development can have a significant impact on parents and all family members. It can impact the quality of life of everyone if timely support is not provided.

Come along to discuss and learn about:

  • The evidence-based resources and information about the diagnosis
  • How to set goals for your child that are meaningful
  • How to further understand your child’s diagnosis and gain additional support across various areas
  • How to navigate the NDIS and promote your child’s development and progress and a chance to talk to other parents and professionals
  • How to look after your well-being while you are looking after your child/ren
  • This session will also provide you with opportunities for chats with other parents and professionals who can help answer your questions related to Autism.

Who is it for?
Parents, primary carers and family members of children recently diagnosed with Autism/ neurodivergent diagnoses or waiting for a diagnosis.

While this session focuses on intervention research for children with autism, the findings are consistent with support for all children with developmental differences.
